Based on the classic board game and the 1985 cult film of the same name, Clue is a fast-paced, farcical murder mystery comedy.

Set in 1954, the story follows six quirky characters who are invited to a dinner party at a mysterious mansion by an enigmatic host, Mr. Boddy. Each guest is given a pseudonym, such as Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlet, and Professor Plum, to conceal their identities.

The evening takes a dark turn when Mr. Boddy is murdered, and the guests, along with the butler Wadsworth and other staff, must scramble to figure out who the killer is, what weapon was used, and in which room the crime took place.

As the investigation unfolds, the characters engage in a series of hilarious misunderstandings, slapstick humor, and witty banter. Red herrings abound as multiple murders occur, and the plot becomes increasingly chaotic and absurd.

The play maintains the iconic elements of the board game, including the weapons and rooms, while drawing heavily from the film’s humor and plot twists. In the end, depending on the production, there may be multiple alternate endings that reveal different culprits, adding to the playful and unpredictable nature of the show.
